What're the different Diggit login accounts?

What're the different Diggit
login accounts?

Diggit provides 2 different accounts whose login credentials can be shared amongst staff: diggers, and supervisors. Additionally, certain individual users can be given an admin account, and each account type is detailed in the table below.

If you'd like any additional staff to be given admin login credentials, have one of your existing admins email us with their name and email address and we can sort that out for you!

I need details about Diggit's data security

I need details about Diggit's
data security

No problem. Diggit's data is encrypted in transit and stored and backed up on a server cluster of 3 replicate nodes in the Republic of Ireland (in the GDPR-compliant EEA).

In the rare event that one server is down, a replicate node instantly replaces it with no perceptible change in behaviour or functionality. These servers are backed up daily, and the datacentres housing them are accredited to ISO 27001 (2005) or higher. In the very unlikely scenario that data must be restored from a backup, we estimate the Recovery Time Objective (RTO) for restoring this data to be approximately 10 minutes of downtime.

How do I pay for the use of Diggit?

How do I pay for Diggit?

Diggit is a pay-as-you-record service, with a small charge incurred for each context added. Everything else for now is free, including: setup costs, support, app downloads and data storage!

You'll be emailed an invoice at the end of each month from our payment partners, Stripe.
The email will contain a link to a direct payment page, as well as a PDF invoice attachment.
The direct payment page will allow you to pay for that month's usage either by card, or by BACS bank transfer.
Bank details will be visible on the payment page if 'Bank transfer' is clicked (see image), and can also be found on your PDF invoice, located in the bottom-left.
Note: In your first invoice, Stripe will generate unique bank transfer details for your organisation to use. Although these details cannot be provided to you before your first invoice, they will remain consistent for you in all future invoices.

The direct payment page is linked to from within your invoice email sent at the end of each month's usage.

Can I get a breakdown of site costings to share with my client(s)?

Sure! Although our payment partners do not allow us to itemise invoices by the site/project, Admin users can see a table of how many contexts each site has generated in any given period by navigating to 'Billing' in the menu bar (or by heading to 'Account' from the top-right menu and then clicking the 'View' button in the 'Billing' section).

On the Billing page, simply select a date range using the calendar on the left and then click 'Update table' to see a breakdown of the number of contexts billed for each site active during that period.

This feature is fantastic for better understanding your monthly invoices, as well as seeing individual site costings.

Note: This feature is not accessible if logged in using Supervisor credentials. Data is available from 1/10/22 onwards.

Diggit charges you for any new context added. If a context is deleted, you will still be charged for it - which may account for any mismatches. Similarly, free trial data and credited contexts will still appear in the 'Your billing' table, even though you won't be charged for them.

In order to automate the management and reconciliation of invoice payments, our payment partners Stripe generate a unique account for each of our customers to pay into. Though unique, these account details still stay consistent for each customer - meaning, the payment details you see on your invoices will always stay as they are.

If your bank flags up that it cannot check/verify your generated account’s details, don’t worry - go ahead with the payment and we’ll confirm receipt.
